Safety First
An applicable safety system will be set up and put into practice following the valid laws and regulations concerning the Labor and Work Services in Bangladesh, and site staff and subcontractors will be trained about safe working procedures.
The Safety System will contain the following rules:
a. Necessary precautions will be taken for the workers during the ongoing works at sites at all times, like:
• Safety helmets will be used
• Special hand gloves and boots will be used against electricity shocks where it is needed.
* Safety belts will be used to prevent possible falls. They will be tied to strong and reliable supports.
b. First Aid Boxes will be provided at each site.
c. Sites will be equipped with appropriate warning signs.
d. Site borders will be marked.
e. No material that may cause an accident will be kept unattended within sites.
f. Scaffoldings will be put up where necessary. They will be equipped with sign plates that show the weight they can carry.
g. Ladders or staircases will be equipped with adequate railings. Any tools, devices, machines that are used to lift anything will contain adequate precautions and safety measures to avoid possible accidents.
